The Sunburst Egg created by Theo Fabergé in mopane wood represents the sun bursting into sixty shimmering sun rays. The egg delicately rests on a fluted gilt column and is enriched with ornamentally turned patterned disks portraying glistening sun rays and sunbursts. A small gilt finial tops the Egg.

The hidden surprise within the column, a pen decorated with a cupola and cabochon amethyst.
