This third creation depicting Russia's greatest cities was inspired by the elegance and architectural beauty of the cathedrals and churches of the city of Kiev. The sterling silver Egg surmounted by the Imperial Crown, enriched with 24 karat gold and cobalt blue enamel, rests on a white marble base.

On opening the Egg, the surprise -- a miniature vermeil stand, topped with a ruby and lapis lazuli cupola, displays a replica of the splendid brocade of the Imperial crest of the Romanovs.
