The Friendship Egg captures a special moment in history, commemorating the largest exhibition of Fabergé Imperial Eggs. The sky blue lead crystal Egg is adorned with 23 karat gold and enamelled with ribbons of colors representing the United States of America and Soviet Union flags in the form of rainbows, expressing hope for the future. A vermeil crown is set with a cabochon ruby.

The surprise, a model of a gazebo in sterling silver gilded with 24 karat gold contains a miniature egg of lapis lazuli representing the birth of a new era of friendship.
