The Phoenix with a mother-of-pearl breast set with an alexandrite heart, sapphire eyes, all against 18 karat gold are complemented by 50 brilliant cut diamonds, and the 18 karat white gold wings. It is detailed with a branch of eight faceted cabochon rubies

The alexandrite gemstones were named after
Tsar Alexander II while heir to the throne.
