Theo created this paperweight as a tribute to his grandfather, who was commissioned by the Tsar Alexander III to create the first Fabergé Egg for the Imperial Family. The crest of Alexander III surmounted with the Imperial Russian Crown is worked in 24 karat gold within the lead crystal. The perimeter is surmounted with Fabergé swags hand painted in 24 karat gold
